The Sweet Blooms of Home 

There's a moment every year - right when the air shifts and the world starts to soften - that magnolias begin to bloom. It's subtle at first - the breeze grows sweeter, the mornings feel lighter, and suddenly, those creamy white blossoms start unfolding like a Southern Secret. 

That's the magic I'm chasing in my upcoming Magnolia series - the quiet, powerful beauty of the South in bloom. Each painting in this collection is my love letter to the season that wakes up the world and to the tree that stands tall with a kind of elegant grace only nature could design. 

Magnolias have always felt like more than just a tree to me. They're woven into the very fabric of Southern living. The way their blossoms perfume a front porch, how their branches stretch wide like they're inviting you to stay a while. There's an unmistakable charm about them, something timeless and deeply rooted. I think of sticky summer nights and wide-open windows, the smell of cut grass and gardenias in the air, the hum of cicadas, and the heavy sweetness that settles over everything like a lullaby. This series captures just that - the nostalgia, the warmth, the quiet power of place and memory. 

As I've worked through each piece, I've been reminded that magnolias don't shout for attention. They just simply are - Beautiful, Bold, and Unbothered.
